On February 26, 2017, during 2PM’s last concert for their “6Nights” series, Jun.K fell from the stage and was rushed away to the hospital. When he was getting ready to perform “Hands Up” he got onto the moving stage platform, which was supposed to meet at the center of the stage, and the platform was unlocked which caused him to fall.
The initial statement released by JYP was “Jun.K is current receiving an in-depth medical examination. We cannot say anything yet about the upcoming concerts.”
Fans were quite worried, but thankfully JYP released a followup statement about his condition.
“This is JYP Entertainment. Jun.K immediately left the concert and was moved to the hospital, where he received a thorough examination. The results show that he suffered a fracture in his right elbow and forth finger on his right hand. He received the necessary medical attention, and is currently under observation and resting.”
They followed up with promises to keep fans updated on his condition in the near future and fans were definitely relieved that it wasn’t a more series injury.
Wishing Jun.K a speedy recovery from the One Stop K-Pop Team!
