Performance Recap Of 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) In Hong Kong
The performances for the 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards, herein referred to as MAMA, have been absolutely incredible. The 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards in Japan featured amazing collaborations and stunning performances that were enough to make jaws drop. Hong Kong’s celebration kept up the fire with incredible performances and collaborations.
Dynamic Duo and Chen collaborated for an incredible opening performance of “Nosedive“. Many have stated that being greeted by the voice of an angel was the best way to start the day’s awards.
Dynamic Duo continued to amaze with a performance of “1/N” Mama Remix” accompanied by the incredible rapping skills of Monsta X’s Jooheon, GOT7’s Jackson Wang, NCT’s Mark and SEVENTEEN’s Vernon.
Taemin slays as usual with his Intro and “Door” performance. The performance of “Door” was apparently similar to how he did it for his performance in his solo Japan concert, which fans adored.
The fire continued as Taemin and Sunmi performed her hit track “Gashina” and heated up the stage.
If those two weren’t enough to make you light headed with happiness, the continued performance of the duo for Taemin’s “Move” will really knock your socks off.
Heize and Bolbbalgan4 collaborated for a powerful performance of “You, Clouds, Rain” and “Tell Me You Love Me“. The beautiful ladies astounded fans with their clear powerful voices.
But they didn’t just stop there. They continued on with an incredible rendition of “Don’t You Know” and “Some“.
GOT7 and DAY6 reminded everyone why they’re both so loved by fans by performing a rock version of GOT7’s track “Never Ever“! Fans were a bit upset with how the focus was split, but felt the performance itself was incredible.
GOT7 continued to amaze with powerful vocals that filled the arena with their performance of “You Are“.
NCT’s Taeyong and Seulgi commanded attention for their performance of “I Just” and “Around” the Hitchhiker Remix Version. Their teamwork and the way they moved with one another was incredible!
Hitchhiker had everyone dancing with 11 while NCT 127 came up from the floor to perform “The 7th Sense – Reverse“. The group then shifted into their complex performance of “Cherry Bomb“.
If Hitchiker and NCT 127 weren’t enough to get you moving, then Red Velvet made their way on stage in red and black outfits for “Peek-A-Boo“. OSKP might be a bit in love after this performance! They made their way down the stage to the center performance section while performing “Red Flavor“.
The girl’s then collaborated with NCT 127 and Hitchhiker for “$10“.
Soyou and Chanyeol amazed with sweet vocals with “I Miss You” and “Stay With Me“.
Ailee was an absolute powerhouse in her performance of “I Will Go To You Like The First Snow”.
HYUKOH put on a striking performance with “Wanli万里“.
EXO was a heavily anticipated performance. The group amazed everyone by making their way on stage while performing The Eve“. They then shifted into “Ko Ko Bop” and the fans were amazed. The fan chants during both songs were audible over the music!
EXO didn’t stop there. Kai came back on stage for a beautiful performance of “I See You” when he moved around the stage with amazing fluidity. The group came back on stage with the remix version of “Power“.
The incredible performances of the evening continued with Wanna One performing “Without You” and “Beautiful“.
The also performed “Energetic” the MAMA mix and “Pick Me“.
Karen Mok took to the stage looking like an angel performing “Love Of My Life“.
Super Junior showed off their comfort on the stage with an incredible performance and introduction to their latest track “Black Suit“.
BTS was another highly anticipated group, with their most recent performances on U.S. Television. They opened up with an incredible introduction before jumping into the intense track “Not Today“.
BTS shifted over to a bridge performance and “DNA“, the track that has been blowing minds since it’s release.
The group then surprised fans with “BTS Cypher 4” and closed out with full suits and “MIC Drop“ the remix version collaboration with Steve Aoki.
