On June 6, 2017, T.O.P was rushed to the emergency room.  He was administered to the Intensive Care Unit and his family and friends were staying by his side.  Some speculated that it was a prescription drug overdose that caused him to drift in and out of consciousness.

YG Entertainment stated:

“T.O.P has been taken to the Intensive Care Unit and is receiving intensive care. He normally takes tranquilizers, but according to the police he took more than usual this time.”

The latest article states that while he was on standby in his platoon headquarters, he took his prescription tranquilizer, like normal, and went to sleep.  He was still sleeping soundly at 7:30 am when he was awoken for breakfast, but only opened his eyes and went back to sleep.  He was allowed to continue sleeping.

The article continues to state that “around noon, he was sweating and unable to wake up, so he was taken to the emergency room of a nearby hospital, where blood and urine tests and CT scans were performed. There was nothing wrong according to the test results, and he reacted when his name was called or he was pinched.”  This claim currently disputes the other claims of him losing consciousness.  It also followed up by stating he was assisted to the hospital and not carried.

The medication he took is a normal prescription of his, but the dosage he took is uncertain.  He is not currently in critical condition, merely sleeping due to the sleeping aid in his medication.  It will take a couple days for the medication to fully leave his system.

Due to his status as a celebrity and his recent marijuana controversy, it was decided he would be admitted to the ICU in order to have him isolated.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Wishing T.O.P a speedy recovering.
