SEVENTEEN’s Vernon taken to hospital and pulled from KCON events
After injuring himself during practices for their upcoming comeback, SEVENTEEN’s Vernon was rushed over to the hospital. Thankfully, it wasn’t serious, but the doctors ordered him to rest a few days and receive treatment. Unfortunately, due to the timing of the injury, he will not be attending KCON Japan, which is currently running until May 21, 2017.
The group is set to make their comeback on May 22, 2017, and they hope he will be up and running around in time with some days off between now and then.
PLEDIS Entertainment released a full statement regarding the accident (see rough translation below):
We are sorry for bringing sudden news right before SEVENTEEN’s comeback. SEVENTEEN’s Vernon recently injured himself while practicing for the groups comeback. He was quickly taken to the hospital for treatment. Thankfully , it was not a major injury, but the doctors suggested rest and treatment for stabilization. Due to this, he will be unable to attend KCON Japan which is scheduled this week.
We apologize to all of the fans. Vernon will join SEVENTEEN during their scheduled comeback after receiving treatment.
