Topp Dogg releases statement on lineup change and future of the group
Topp Dogg has been through quite a bit as far as lineup changes go. The group started off with 13 members. Now, they’re down to just 5 members.
It’s been quite a while since their agency has confirmed any sort of lineup change, with the last being Jenissi’s departure form the group. Now, we have an entire block of changes.
As many know, Kim Sanggyun, also known as A-Tom, was recently a contestant on Produce 101 Season 2. He’s currently preparing to debut with a group of fellow contestants under JBJ. The group will be releasing their first track on October 18, 2017. When the group’s promotions end, the agency stated that they will be discussing his future activities.
After the promotions for First Street were completed, Hansol expressed that he wanted to leave the group. Since then, he has moved out of the dorms and kept fans updated via his Instagram. He apparently is planning on enlisting in the military.
The leader of the group is planning on enlisting in the military. He didn’t take part in the recent performance by the group, so it is likely he is no longer an active member. Additionally, he’s in discussions on becoming an actor after his discharge.
Nakta has entered the electronica field and is working hard to produce all sorts of music. He worked with the agency to cancel his exclusive contract and Hunus has asked fans to support him in his endeavors.
The final 5 members, B-Joo, Hojoon, Sangdo, Xero, and Yano, will be entering The Unit for a second chance. They’re hoping that the show will give them a chance to show their abilities.
