VIXX (빅스) Takes Fans Down Memory Lane With Their Concept History Video
Starlights! Are you getting excited for VIXX’s upcoming comeback, EAU DE VIXX?
In preparation for that exciting day, VIXX released a Concept History video on their official YouTube and V-App channel that takes fans through every music video the group has released thus far. The video captures the concepts VIXX promoted with, ranging from creepy to adorable. This not only brings good memories for Starlights that have been with VIXX for a while, it helps new fans joining in during this upcoming comeback! Take a look at the Concept History below, and we’ll take a small look at each music video!
VIXX debuted with this music video on May 23rd, 2012 and thus blessed the K-pop world with their existence. They were so young and have grown so much since this debut. The song is an absolute gem.
This music video concept was one of the cutest ones. The VIXX themed video game coupled with the colorful visuals make everything even better. The song is one you can easily jam to anywhere.
The first of VIXX’s darker concepts and boy do they show they can rock them. This video showed the boys in dark clothing and yellow tinted contacts to give a bit of an otherworldly feel. If anything, shirtless VIXX in rockets makes the video even better.
This music video is one of my top favorites. The song is fantastic, the concept of Jekyll and Hyde portrayed through the white and black suites, the dance, everything is just so well done. It’s definitely a video to check out.
VIXX continues with the bright and colorful concepts with this music video. The song is so catchy, and because the music video was shown backward, the boys had to learn the lyrics backward. Talk about some skill!
This music video takes the cake as the top freakiest concept VIXX has done to date. They are the kings of creep. They do it so well I got squeamish during some scenes, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that the dance is amazing and the song is another gem.
This was such a lovely music video both visually and story-wise, with the concept of time and clocks littered throughout. The dance and vocals were on point in the entire music video.
This music video. This music video right here changed me for the better. It is basically a 5 minute and 28-second movie with a twist ending that breaks your heart. The dance is my favorite dance of VIXX’s so far, and the vocals are amazing as they always are. It’s just a stunning music video, please love yourself and watch it.
“Love Equation” was pure. “Love Equation” was the exact thing St⭐rlights needed after a comeback like “Erro”r. The song is catchy, and VIXX continues to prove they can slay the cute concept unlike anyone else.
Now, “Chained Up” was definitely a different feel from many of the previous concepts they did before. “Chained Up” marked a switch, a new era, in VIXX. An excellent era. The group has matured and show it through their music. They’ve learned a lot through the years they’ve been active, and they just keep getting better and better.
“Dynamite” was the start of the Greek Gods concept, which was such a good concept. This song came from the ‘Zelos’ album, which is the Greek God of rivalry and envy. The colors, the dance, the vocals, everything was a hit and the perfect way to kick off this concept.
“Fantasy” was a darker concept and came off the ‘Hades’ album, the Greek God of the Underworld. The atmosphere of this music video portrays that concept perfectly, and the dance is so sharp. The boys make these concepts look like a piece of cake.
“The Closer” came off the ‘Kratos’ album, the Greek God of strength and power. The Closer felt like a combination of both Dynamite and Fantasy; not quite dark, but not quite light and happy either. This music video was the ending of the Greek God album concept, and it was a perfect song to wrap it up.
This absolute beauty is the most recent VIXX concept. There were birthstones and birth flowers associated with each member that translated into the music video, which brought the concept together even more. It was an elegant music video, complete with the fan dance and ever-stunning vocals.
